LID

We finally have a Log In Date !!!!!!! 1/15/2007. Our paperwork has arrived at the CCAA. What does that mean? What happens now? When will we get to see Kara? When can we bring her home? Well, let me paint you a picture (as I understand it anyway)........there are 17 countries and 100 U.S. agencies that work with the CCAA. When a dossier (that big stack of paperwork that takes months to complete) reaches the CCAA it is given a LID. Then it's off to the review room. Department 1 is called the review room. There are 10 people that work in the review room and they must review each and every dossier that is logged in. If you visit the CCAA's website, you will see that they have completed the review of dossiers received before Jan 31, 2006. This means there are 17 countries and 100 US agencies that have submitted dossiers between Jan 31, 2006 and Jan 15, 2007 (our log in date).
That's many, many months of waiting to find out if we make it past the review room!
So, after making it past the review, the dossier goes to Department 2, which is the exciting part. Our dossier is then matched up with a wonderful, precious baby that is waiting for us. The CCAA sends a picture of the baby along with some medical information. Next, we apply for travel approval and wait (yes, we should be pretty good at waiting by then).
A couple months later, travel approval arrives and it's off to Beijing. HOW EXCITING IS THIS?
I'm so thankful that God has opened our hearts to adoption, I love this little girl so much already and I don't know if she is even born yet.
Anyway, did I mention that we finally have our LID?
