We had a blowout !

No, not in the car. We had a blowout of a yard sale on Saturday.
My dear Mom and Nana came up with the bright idea of having a yard sale at our house to raise some money for our adoption. As you know, having a yard sale is a LOT of hard work. We had at least 6 truck loads of things to unload, price, organize and set up. My sister, mom and Nana donated lots of clothes, dishes, home decor, furniture and other items. Tim posted a couple of signs at the entrance to our neighborhood and at 5 am Saturday the shoppers started digging through our things with flashlights. By noon we were exhausted and ready to pack up the remains. We donated lots of clothes to someone that is having another sale to raise money for a mission trip. The other items were given to the local GWRRA chapter (check out the picture of mom and dad!) So, we sat at the kitchen table and started counting the cash. 20s, 10s, 5s, 1s and change. I'm hoping we at least made $400 or so. What? This can't be right. Tim counted out all the bills and I wrote them down twice on a notepad. $1,235.00.
OH MY! Thank you family and friends for everything you donated! It was certainly worth the hard work and we love and appreciate each of you. Don't worry Mom, the money is going straight to Kara's account !
